‘Springboard to Impact’ Virtual Conference

Mon 21 September – Friday 2 October 2020

A virtual conference of presentations, workshops and networking, offering delegates two weeks of

  • Consolidation
  • Collaboration, and
  • Continuation

The CONNECTED Network has been planning alternative delivery of what was originally due to be an in-person conference.

The main objectives are to:

Online delivery of presentations opens them to a much larger audience than just those who would have been fortunate enough to be able to travel to sit in a conference room. Most sessions, including all PPF presentations, will be opened to all CONNECTED network members.

Scientific posters for all of the PPF 20 projects will be published on the CONNECTED website in advance of the presentations.

WEEK ONE: Mon 21 – Fri 25 September (8am – 4pm UK time, BST, GMT+1)

Presentations by each of the 20 projects which have been run with pump-prime funding provided by CONNECTED. All network members will be invited to attend these presentations, and there will be opportunities to ask questions.

The full timetable will be confirmed and circulated to network members in late August. Joining details for each of the sessions will also be circulated by email to all network members, much closer to the date of the presentations.

WEEK TWO: Mon 28 September – Fri 2 October (timings TBC)

A series of workshops around the themes of:

  • Research methodology & technical challenges
  • Project management
  • Action planning
  • Agricultural innovation
  • Networking

Access to these workshops will be by invitation, with full details to be confirmed in due course.

There will also be a wrap-up presentation (Fri 2 Oct) by CONNECTED Director Prof. Gary Foster and Co-Director, Prof. Neil Boonham, which will be open to all network members.
