We are delighted to welcome Cathrine Ziyomo as a new member of the CONNECTED Management Board.

Cathrine is Program Lead at the Biosciences eastern and central Africa (BecA)-ILRI Hub, Kenya, a shared agricultural research and biosciences platform that provides and increases access to world class laboratories for African and international scientists conducting research on African agricultural challenges.

Jacob Mignouna, who previously led the BecA-ILRI Hub, has moved to a new position, but we are pleased that he remains a CONNECTED Management Board member. Jacob is still based in Nairobi. Kenya, and is working as an International Senior Consultant for Agriculture and Agric- business in Africa.

Cathrine’s acceptance of the offer to join the Management Board represents a new step in an important ongoing partnership between the CONNECTED Network and BecA-ILRI Hub whose outputs so far have included a highly successful virus and vector diagnostic training event at BecA-ILRI Hub, Nairobi, in March 2019.
