The CONNECTED Africa Launch Conference will be held in Kampala on 7th – 9th May 2018

The conference will run over three days, with one day on site at the NaCRRI Research Institute in Namulonge.

ECR Training Workshop: Kampala on 10th – 11th May 2018
Immediately following the Conference we will host a two-day training course for Early Career Research Network members in Kampala. This will focus on leadership & management skills, grant and paper writing.

Expression of Interest: We have a conference budget available to support attendance at our Africa Launch Conference and Training Workshop for a number of CONNECTED network members. Financial support would include contributions towards travel, hotel and delegate costs. If you would like to express your interest in one of these places at the Conference, Workshop or both, please email connectedvirusnetwork@gmail.com by Sunday 8th April 2018 including a brief justification for receiving support (up to 200 words).

Please title your email ‘Expression of Interest: Africa launch’ and identify which event(s) you are interested in attending.

Use the justification to highlight what you can contribute to the event and how this experience will benefit you professionally.

Please also identify whether you are an early career researcher (received your highest degree [BSc, MSc or PhD] in the last seven years). We will consider all justifications for support and allocate support accordingly.

Depending on the response we receive we may be able to fully fund places or offer a fixed amount of financial support.
