Fully funded places available for bioinformatics course, starting Jan 2019

Bioinformatics training opportunity

CONNECTED is pleased to open a new training opportunity to network members: We will fully fund a small number of places on a bioinformatics course in Sweden. It starts on 21 January 2019, so the application window is a small one.

Before reading further please be aware:

  • This is a commitment from 21 January to 25 March, at short notice
  • You will need to investigate entry-to-Sweden requirements relevant to your own home country, for admittance to Sweden, again bearing in mind the short notice.

Bioinformatics takes place from 21 January to 25 March 2019, at The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden.

CONNECTED will fully fund all course fees, travel, accommodation and subsistence for a small number of applicants.

Preference will be given to network members based in DAC-list countries. This opportunity is for network members who are working towards or who have achieved their PhD. The funding body that the CONNECTED network receives funding from stipulates that full-time students are not eligible to apply. Part-time students are eligible if they also have an employment research contract with their organisation which extends at least until the end of the course. Applications are now open, closing at midnight on Sunday 2 December, using this short application form. Applicants will be notified of the outcome no later than Friday 7 December. Successful applicants will be required to provide a short report on the course and its impact on their professional practice.
